Removing Unwanted Entrained or Dissolved Gases Proficiently
The GDT™ Process is an efficient and dependable means of treating municipal waters and can be used independently or in conjunction with other technologies. It has been proven to be extremely efficient in dynamically transferring gases into solution while removing unwanted entrained or dissolved gases. It is an easy-to-install, non-fouling system which provides the user with the ability to contain and treat process off gas.
The GDT Process offers municipal water treatment professionals design flexibility for any flow rate in a compact, non-fouling, low maintenance system. Skid mounted systems are available.
Acid Water Treatment- CO2 Removal
The ratio of carbon dioxide to bicarbonate ion directly affects the pH of water. The higher the ratio the more naturally acidic the water. Acidic water is a problem due to its corrosive nature. Corrosion of piping materials results in both increased maintenance costs and the addition of contaminants to water. Corrosion is the primary cause of elevated lead/copper levels in water distribution systems. The GDT Process provides corrosion control by stripping CO2 from solution and lowering the CO2/HCO3 ratio.
Methane is easy to strip out of water. With Mazzei® Injectors more than 80% removal can be achieved.
The GDT Process is ideally suited to strip radon from water due to the high Henry’s Law constant and pressurized operational design.
