Mazzei® Announces Leadership Changes
Srikanth (Sri) Pathapati, Ph.D., Joins Mazzei as Director of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Analysis and Engineering;
Celia Cobar Appointed VP of Research and Development
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (February 27, 2013) – As Mazzei Injector Company continues to grow, so has its Research and Development Department. Dr. Sri Pathapati has joined the Mazzei team as its new Director of CFD Analysis and Engineering and Celia Cobar has been appointed VP of Research and Development. At Mazzei, cutting edge CFD technology is being used to continually evaluate and implement expanded applications of Mazzei's engineered processes and standard products.
Dr. Srikanth Pathapati joins Mazzei after working as Senior Mechanical Consultant at Knighthawk Engineering, Inc. in Houston, Texas where he specialized in multiphase CFD analysis and design for a diverse range of unit operations. Formerly Dr. Pathapati held a Post-doctoral Research Associate post at the University of Florida where he co-founded and managed the experimental monitoring and CFD modeling research group to examine stormwater unit operations. He earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida for research in experimental and numerical methods for separation unit operations and holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Madras, India.
Celia Cobar joined the company in 2005 and has performed several key roles during her tenure. Since 2009 she served as Director of Research and Development and headed the company's new product research, patents and intellectual property stewardship. A major focus during this period was on process and product testing and validation to meet expanding certification requirements in both industrial and municipal market sectors. Celia received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Pepperdine University.
