EPA Increases Ammonia Emissions Control

A free white paper by Catalytic Products International

Concern about ammonia emissions in the air and the water continues to grow, both officially and unofficially. As U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) moves to further reduce ammonia concentrations in surface waters, common water treatment methods transform what had been a water pollution problem into an air pollution issue. Earlier this year, EPA released its draft Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS) health assessment for ammonia. The assessment for ammonia represents major progress for EPA in implementing the April 2011 National Academy of Sciences (NAS) recommendations for improving IRIS assessments.
